Hyundai Bayon likely to launch in October 2026 The Bayon will have dual-function LED DRLs
Hyundai India has recently released the teaser images of the soon-to-be-launched Bayon midsize SUV. Now, the company has released a teaser video revealing the upcoming Hyundai Bayon’s LED Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs). It is likely to be launched in the country during the festive season, Diwali, around October 2026.
The upcoming Hyundai Bayon will get the dual-function LED daytime running lamps. It features the signature sleek dual-function LED DRLs, which are offered in twin parts. There is a horizontal placed dual-function unit, which will also acts as a turn indicator. The other one is a vertically placed element with LED lights in it.

Hyundai called the new Bayon an IUV or Intelligent Utility Vehicle, which suggests that it could get an AI-related tech. The model in the teaser is finished in red shade. The mid-size SUV is likely to be based on the platform that also underpins the new Venue. It is currently undergoing testing in India as well as on foreign soil.
Hyundai reveals that the Bayon is based on the evolving Art of Steel design language, combining-architectural forms, sharp character lines and confident proportions to develop a sporty, stylish and robust SUV for modern lifestyles. Upfront is a sculpted bonnet, pronounced fenders, and unique H-Edge lighting signature. The lower bumper houses wider air intakes, pronounced trims and fog lamp housing. The spy images suggest that the SUV will have flared wheel arches, upright rear windscreen, a horizontal LED tail-lights and roof-mounted spoiler. The midsize SUV is expected to measure around 4.2-4.3 meters in length, and will have longer wheelbase and wider track than the Hyundai Venue.

The interior sketches shows Hyundai’s signature layout, featuring dual 12.3-inch screens for an infotainment and driver’s display. It will get a three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, red accents around the central console and air con vents. Key features could include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated front seats, powered driver’s seat, multi-coloured ambient lighting, electrically adjustable sunroof, connected car tech and premium audio system.
The Bayon’s safety tech will include 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), a 360-degree surround view camera, 3-point seat belt, and others. It will also get LEVEL 2 ADAS suite with features like autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring and others.

The new Hyundai Bayon is expected to be powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 114bhp and 144Nm of torque. It will be the first Hyundai over 4 meters to feature a factory-fitted CNG option. In fact, the midsize SUV is rumoured to be equipped with an underbody CNG tank.
