Tata sold 62711 vehicles in July 2026 Mahindra dispatched over 60,000 SUVs, while Hyundai sold over 54000 vehicles MG reported its highest-ever monthly sales
Car manufacturers have released their sales numbers for the month of July 2026, and most brands have posted positive year-on-year sales growth. While Tata Motors sold a total of 63,760 units, Hyundai sold a total of (domestic + exports) of 75,360 vehicles in the month of July 2026. Mahindra dispatched more than 60,000 SUVs to dealers in the domestic markets.

Maruti Suzuki India limited sold a total of 241,421 units, including sales to OEV and Exports in July 2026 compared to 180,526 units in the same month last year. The company’s domestic sales including PV and LCV stands at 200,123 units as against 140,570 units in July 2025. Maruti Suzuki exported 31,745 vehicles and 11,242 units delivered to OEMs in July 2026.

Tata Motors posted one of its strongest monthly sales growth in recent years, registering around 59 per cent Year-on-Year growth in July 2026. Tata Motors sold a total of 63,760 vehicles, including domestic + exports, in July 2026 as against 40,175 vehicles in the same month last year, registering an impressive YoY sales growth of 58.71 percent.
In the domestic market, Tata Motors sold 62,611 units in July 2026 compared to 39,521 units in July 2025, reporting a YoY sales growth of 58.42 per cent. The company reported a modest month-on-month sales increase of just 0.86 per cent.
The big news is that Tata Motors recorded 15,217 EV wholesales compared to 7,124 units in July last year. This marks an impressive YoY sales growth of 113.60 per cent. This is for the first time that Tata Motors has crossed the 15,000 monthly EV sales mark. Tata said that the Punch micro SUV has achieved its highest-ever monthly sales.
Mahindra & Mahindra has reported its overall auto sales for the month of July 2026 stood at 1,03,860 vehicles, a growth of 26% including exports. In the Utility Vehicles segment, Mahindra sold 60,048 vehicles in the domestic market, a growth of 20% and overall, 60,887 vehicles, including exports. The domestic sales for Commercial Vehicles stood at 25,204, a growth of 23%.
According to Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., “In July we achieved SUV sales of 60048 units delivering growth of 20%. The total vehicle sales stood at 103860, a 26% YoY growth reflecting all-round demand traction across the portfolio.”

Hyundai Motor India Limited reported highest-ever monthly total sales (domestic plus exports) of 75,360 units in July 2026 with a robust YoY growth of 25.4 per cent. This figure includes monthly domestic sales of 54,210 units (+23.3% YoY) – highest-ever for any July and highest monthly export numbers in more than 100 months with sales of 21,150 units (+31.4% YoY).
Commenting on July 2026 sales results, Mr. Tarun Garg, MD & CEO - HMIL, said, “We have kicked off the new quarter on a strong note. Achieving 75,360 total sales (domestic + exports; up 25.4% YoY), our highest-ever monthly volume since inception, underscores the immense trust consumers place in brand Hyundai. Furthermore, delivering 21,150 export units (up 31.4% YoY), our highest in more than 100 months, reinforces our relentless commitment to Make-in-India, Made-for-the-World.”
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) today announced its sales performance for the month of July 2026 with 32,516 units. In the domestic market, the company sold 30,516 vehicles in July 2026 as against 29.159 units in the same month last year, registering a YoY sales growth of 5 per cent. In the calendar year (January-July 2026), the company sold 2,33,854 vehicles as against 2,07,497 units in the same period last calendar year, registering a Year-on-Year sales growth of 13 percent.
Commenting on the sales performance, Mr. Sabari Manohar, Executive Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said, “We registered a steady performance in July, reflecting sustained customer confidence in the Toyota brand. The result underscores our continued focus on delivering reliable, innovative and customer-centric mobility solutions. A key highlight during the month was the launch of the all-new Toyota Hilux, which further strengthens our SUV portfolio in India and reflects our commitment to offering aspirational, future-ready mobility solutions that cater to evolving customer needs. We remain focused on creating greater value for our customers and stakeholders.”
Kia has reported a total sales of 28,200 units in July 2026, registering a robust 27.4 per cent YoY sales growth compared to 22,135 units in July 2025. This marks Kia India's best-ever July wholesale performance since its inception. Kia India recorded cumulative year-to-date (YTD) wholesale dispatches of 191,949 units during the January-July 2026 period. This reflects a healthy 16.8% growth over 164,274 units dispatched during the corresponding period last year.
“Our best-ever July wholesale performance reflects the continued trust of our customers and the strong acceptance of Kia's diverse product portfolio. Building on our record H1 performance, we have maintained healthy momentum across key segments. Led by the strong performance of the Seltos and Sonet, we have seen healthy demand across Carens Clavis and MY26 Syros. Meanwhile, the Carens Clavis EV continues to strengthen our presence in the electric mobility space,” said Mr. Atul Sood, Senior Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Kia India. “We are delighted by the customer response to the newly launched Syros EV. Its segment-leading range, advanced technology, industry-leading ownership benefits and expanding EV ecosystem reflect our commitment to delivering practical and future-ready mobility solutions for Indian customers. We remain focused on strengthening our product portfolio and enhancing the ownership experience as we continue our growth journey,” he further added.
The Seltos continued to be the Kia’s volume driver, consistently averaging over 10,000 unit sales every month since launch in January. Seltos and Sonet have been driving company’s growth momentum and growing at the pace of 75.7% and 34.5% YTD respectively.

JSW MG Motor India has recorded its highest-ever monthly wholesale sales for the second consecutive month. The company reported 8158 wholesale units, registering a 22% YoY sales growth in July 2026 as compared to July 2025. The NEV portfolio of JSW MG Motor India recorded its highest-ever wholesale volumes in July 2026, contributing more than 80%of the company's total sales.

This strong performance, coupled with another month of robust retail sales, demonstrates the strength of our diverse portfolio and our ability to meet evolving customer aspirations. Honda Cars India has recorded total sales of 8284 units with domestic sales of 6014 units and exports of 2,270 units in July 2026. The company had registered 4,050 units in domestic sales and 3,474 units in exports during July 2025.
