The Honda WR-V is all set to compete with the Kia Sonet in India’s popular sub-4m SUV segment. Expect a sporty design, advanced features, and efficient engine options from the upcoming Honda WR-V 2026. The Honda WR-V India price is expected to be competitive, making it a strong contender in its segment.
Honda is preparing to shake up the sub-4m compact SUV segment in India with its new Honda WR-V, which has been recently spotted testing in India. The WR-V is expected to take on competitors like the Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue, bringing a fresh design and advanced features to the Indian market. While official details are yet to be confirmed, the sighting of the undisguised test mule suggests that the Honda WR-V India launch is just around the corner.

Honda WR-V has been spotted testing on Indian roads, and it looks like Honda is preparing to launch a new SUV in the popular sub-4m category. The WR-V will compete with models like the Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue. It’s expected to have a bold design with a prominent grille, sleek headlights, and an aggressive bumper, giving it a strong presence on the road.
The WR-V will be easy to drive in the city thanks to its compact size. It will also have the higher driving position and rugged look of an SUV. The final version of the WR-V is likely to be under 4 meters in length to take advantage of tax benefits for smaller cars in India.
Inside, the Honda WR-V will likely offer a modern and comfortable cabin. It will share some features with the Honda Amaze, such as the dashboard design, but will have more premium features. The RS version of the WR-V will have an all-black interior with red stitching for a sportier feel. It will also include a 7-inch touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, cruise control, 6 airbags, and Honda Sensing ADAS for extra safety.
Other features may include a rearview camera, Bluetooth connectivity, and a sunroof, making the WR-V a well-equipped option for city driving.
For the Honda WR-V India launch, the SUV will likely come with a smaller, more fuel-efficient engine - likely a 1.2L petrol engine, similar to the one in the Honda Amaze. The Honda WR-V 2026 model in Indonesia has a 1.5L engine, but the Indian version will focus on better fuel economy. The WR-V will likely offer both manual and automatic transmission options.
Honda hasn’t confirmed the exact date for the Honda WR-V India launch, but based on the recent testing, it could be coming soon. The Honda WR-V India price is expected to be between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 12 lakh, which will put it in direct competition with other popular compact SUVs like the Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue.
