December 2025 is packed with new car launches. Maruti e Vitara leads the month’s big reveals. More SUVs and facelifts set to arrive soon.
December 2025 is turning into a packed month for new car launches in India, as multiple brands prepare to introduce fresh models, updated SUVs and major facelifts. The month kicked off with the showcase of the new Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, giving us a clear look at the new electric SUV ahead of its official launch in January 2026. More exciting models are scheduled to arrive through the month.
Here’s the full list of December 2025 car launches:
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara has been showcased on December 2, in India with fresh details on its variants, range, features, charging support and delivery plans. It will come in three variants - Delta, Zeta and Alpha - with 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery options offering up to 543 km ARAI range. Buyers will get flexible ownership choices through full purchase, subscription or Battery-as-a-Service. Maruti has already set up over 2,000 charging stations and offers access to most fast chargers via its ‘e for me’ app. While the E Vitara launch date is yet to be announced, deliveries will start in 2026. The SUV gets a premium design with LED lighting, aero alloys, a dual-tone cabin, dual screens, ventilated seats and a fixed glass roof. Safety is strong with seven airbags, a 360-degree camera and Level-2 ADAS, along with a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating. The 2026 Maruti e Vitara is expected to be priced between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 25 lakh. It will rival the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv EV and upcoming Tata Sierra EV.

Tata Harrier Petrol will launch on December 9, 2025, with the new 1.5-litre Hyperion turbo-petrol engine producing 170 hp and 280 Nm. It will come with manual and automatic gearbox options. Prices are expected to begin at Rs 13-14 lakh. The SUV will continue to offer features like a panoramic sunroof, large touchscreen, ventilated seats, 360-degree camera and Level-2 ADAS. It will compete with the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
Tata Safari Petrol will also debut on December 9, 2025, with the same 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. Expected to start at Rs 15-16 lakh, it will be a more affordable alternative to the diesel Safari. The SUV will retain its 6- and 7-seater layout, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats and Level-2 ADAS. Rivals include the Mahindra XUV700, MG Hector Plus and Hyundai Alcazar.
The new-gen Kia Seltos will be unveiled globally on December 10, 2025. The 2026 Kia Seltos will bring a bold new design with a Digital Tiger Face grille, flush door handles and a refreshed interior. It gets dual 12.3-inch screens and upgraded Level-2 ADAS. Engine options remain the same - 1.5 NA petrol, 1.5 turbo-petrol and 1.5 diesel, paired with manual, iMT, CVT or automatic gearboxes. Prices are expected between Rs 11.30 lakh and Rs 20 lakh. The new Kia Seltos will compete with the Creta, Grand Vitara and Hyryder.
MG Hector is expected to receive a facelift in December 2025. Styling updates will include a revised bumper, new grille design, updated skid plate and new alloy wheels. Inside, the 2026 MG Hector will offer a more responsive 14-inch infotainment system and new connected features. Ventilated rear seats may also be added. Engine options remain the same: 1.5-litre turbo-petrol (with CVT) and 2.0-litre diesel (manual only).
MINI India has opened bookings for the new MINI Convertible, launching in December 2025. It gets an electric soft-top roof that opens in 18 seconds and can operate at speeds up to 30 kmph. The car features circular LED headlamps, black octagonal grille, 17-inch alloy wheels and Union Jack LED tail lamps. Inside, it offers a 9.4-inch OLED touchscreen, custom themes, powered seats, Harman Kardon audio, ambient lighting and wireless charging. Power comes from a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine making 204 hp and 300 Nm, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
