Maruti Suzuki e Vitara has returned to the spotlight in India, revealing new information about variants, range, features, charging support and delivery timelines. With the Maruti e Vitara launch inching closer, this new electric SUV is one of the most anticipated new Maruti car launches for 2026. Here are the top details you need to know.
The 2026 Maruti e-Vitara will be sold in three variants - Delta, Zeta and Alpha. The Delta gets a 49 kWh battery, while the Zeta and Alpha get a larger 61 kWh pack. Power output ranges from 144 PS to 174 PS, depending on the battery. The smaller pack offers a 344 km WLTP range and the bigger pack delivers a 543 km ARAI-claimed range. All versions come with a single front-mounted motor and front-wheel drive.

Maruti is offering three ways to bring home its first EV. Buyers can choose full ownership, a subscription plan with monthly payments, or the Battery-as-a-Service model where the battery is paid for separately. These options make the new Maruti SUV more accessible to different types of customers.
To support the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, the company has already installed over 2,000 exclusive charging stations across more than 1,100 cities. Through the brand’s new ‘e for me’ app, buyers can access 70 percent of India’s fast chargers. Maruti plans to expand further with more exclusive chargers and EV-ready service workshops.
While the E Vitara launch date is yet to be announced, Maruti has confirmed that deliveries will begin in 2026. Bookings will open soon, marking the start of one of the biggest EV rollouts for the brand.

The e Vitara carries a bold and premium design with LED projector headlights, Y-shaped DRLs, aerodynamically styled 18-inch alloy wheels and wraparound LED tail lamps. It has a modern silhouette that helps it stand out among new electric SUVs.
Inside, the SUV gets a dual-tone black and tan cabin, semi-leatherette seats, piano-black detailing and brushed-silver accents. The dual-screen setup features a 10.1-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display. Features like a fixed glass roof, ventilated seats, a powered driver’s seat, ambient lighting and a PM2.5 filter add to its premium appeal.
Safety highlights include up to seven airbags, a 360-degree camera, TPMS and an electronic parking brake. The e Vitara also offers Level-2 ADAS, including adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist and autonomous emergency braking. It has secured a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating.
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will compete with the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, MG ZS EV and Tata Curvv EV. It will also face new rivalry from the upcoming Tata Sierra EV.
