Nissan is gearing up to expand its India portfolio with a new entry-level MPV. Called the Nissan Gravite, this upcoming model will be a practical and affordable New Nissan MPV 7 seater aimed at family buyers. The New Gravite has already been spotted testing on Indian roads, giving us a fair idea of what to expect ahead of its market debut.
The Nissan Gravite launch is expected in early 2026, with prices likely to be announced in March 2026. While the exact Nissan Gravite launch date has not been officially confirmed, the recent test sightings suggest that Nissan is moving closer to production.

The Nissan Gravite MPV is expected to be based on the CMF-A+ platform, which it shares with the Renault Triber. Despite the shared underpinnings, Nissan has given the Gravite its own identity using the brand’s C-style design language.
At the front, the MPV gets slim LED DRLs mounted high on the fascia, a bold grille with polygonal elements and GRAVITE badging on the bonnet. The bumper features prominent C-shaped metallic inserts, giving it a rugged look. The bonnet design closely resembles the Triber, suggesting shared sheet metal.
On the sides, the New Nissan MPV 7 seater is expected to feature thick body cladding, sporty alloy wheels and strong door trims. Nissan has also teased an exclusive Teal colour for the Gravite, which will not be available on the Triber.

At the rear, the Gravite stands out with sleek C-shaped tail lamps, chrome accents, GRAVITE badging on the tailgate and a sculpted rear bumper that mirrors the front design theme.
The Nissan Gravite interior is expected to get a distinct cabin layout with new upholstery and colour themes. Feature highlights may include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster.
Other expected features include second and third-row AC vents, wireless charging, USB ports, push-button start, a cooled glove box, rear defogger and cruise control. These additions aim to make the Gravite a comfortable and practical family MPV.
In terms of safety, the Nissan Gravite MPV is likely to offer six airbags, electronic stability program, hill start assist, traction control, tyre pressure monitoring system and front and rear parking sensors.
The Nissan Gravite engine specifications are expected to include a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine borrowed from the Renault Triber. This engine produces 72 PS and 96 Nm of torque and will likely be offered with both a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox.
Nissan may also offer a dealer-level CNG option, similar to the Magnite. The CNG version could be priced around Rs 70,000 to Rs 80,000 higher than the petrol variant.
Nissan Gravite price is expected to be between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. This will make it an affordable 7-seater MPV, similar to the Renault Triber. Higher variants could be priced slightly more.
The MPV is likely to launch in January 2026 and will focus on family buyers. It is expected to offer flexible seating, modern features and good value for money. Recent tax benefits could also help Nissan keep prices competitive.
