Porsche India has introduced its second electric vehicle, the Macan EV in the market. Priced at Rs. 1.65 crore (ex-showroom), this model is available in a top-spec Turbo variant. Bookings for this electric SUV are open and deliveries are set to commence in the latter half of 2024.
In terms of looks, the electric Macan maintains a resemblance to its internal combustion engine counterpart. Noteworthy features include distinctive four-point LED DRLs, frameless doors, split LED headlamps, a connected LED bar towards the rear, and 22-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the electric vehicle boasts a curved 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ‘Heads-Up’ display, physical controls for air conditioning, and an optional 10.9-inch screen for the front passenger. Additionally, other equipment onboard include Porsche active suspension management, optional rear-wheel steering with a maximum angle of 5 degrees, and Porsche traction management.
Built on the new Premium Platform Electric (PPE) with an 800-volt architecture, the Porsche Macan Turbo EV draws power from a 100 kWh battery pack. It provides a claimed WLTP range of up to 591kms. Charging from 10 to 80 percent can be accomplished in approximately 21 minutes using a 270 kW DC fast charger. The dual-motor setup on both axles produces 630 bhp of power and 1130 Nm of peak torque. It enables the four-wheeler to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.3 seconds.
