At the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo, Tata showcased its ultra-luxury concept, the Avinya X. This concept is said to be closer to being production-ready and is expected to market launch in 2026. The Avinya X has evolved since its first showcase in 2022 with a new body style and a new interior design.
Let's have a detailed look at the Tata Avinya X concept.
The major change done for the Avinya is the move of its sleep coupe-like appearance to a crossover-like look. This look is something that we expected from Tata for Avinya’s evolution process.
The exterior shows a high stance, large wheels, pop-out door handles, and wrap-around headlamps and tail lamps. The rear profile is minimal with a connected tail lamp and gloss black bumpers.
In the cabin, the Avinya X concept can be seen with a dual-tine theme and seats with an overall minimal design. There are touch-enabled buttons, control panels, a two-spoke design steering wheel, and T-shaped lighting elements is there too.
The concept unlike most modern-day EV concepts, does not have many screens inside. It is said to rely on voice-based interactions for the controls. Other features include a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger, and multi-zone auto AC. EV-specific features like vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) are also expected to be offered.
The Avinya concept is expected to give a larger battery pack option with a claimed range of a minimum of 500 km. The platform will be scalable, meaning that it can be configured with multiple battery pack options.
The Tata Avinya is the automaker's vision for its future EVs and will not debut in its production-spec avatar. We can still expect Tata to bring its first EV based on the showcased concept in 2026.
