VinFast had showcased its EV line-up at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. At the Auto Expo, the Vietnamese automaker announced to launch the new VF7 and VF6 electric SUVs in the country this year. The company had also showcased the VF3 micro electric SUV, VF8, VF5 and e34. Out of these models, the VinFast VF3 has been confirmed for India launch.
Speaking to Autocar India, Pham Sanh Chau, MD and CEO of the company's Asia operations reveal that the VF7 will be the first VinFast in India. It will be a premium model in the mid-segment. VF6 will be the second model in VinFast line-up. He further confirmed that the VinFast VF3 micro SUV will arrive in our market in 2026.
The VF3 mini electric vehicle is packed with an 18.64kWh lithium-ion phosphate battery pack coupled to a rear-axle mounted electric motor. The electric motor is rated at 44bhp and 110Nm of torque. It is claimed to offer an NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) range of up to 210km on a single charge.
The VF3 accelerates to 50kmph from zero in 5.3 seconds and can attain a maximum speed of 100kmph. The small SUV supports fast charging, which allows its battery to achieve 10% to 70% charging status in 36 minutes.
It is a proper 2-door City Commuter that offers compact size, feature-loaded cabin and stylish looks. In terms of proportions, the micro e-SUV is 3,190mm in length, 1,679mm in width and 1,652mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,075mm. This compact EV offers a ground clearance of 191mm, which is more than sufficient to tackle Indian road conditions.
With second-row seats down, the small car has a boot space of 285-litres. It is packed with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, manual air conditioning and front power windows. The small electric SUV comes with all-black interior scheme. It offers seat for 4 passengers, and the access for the rear seats is by folding the co-driver seat the front.
