JSW MG Motor India has recently launched its new electric SUV, the Hector Tomahawk EV, which is available in four variants - Excite 7-Seater, Exclusive 7-Seater, Essence 5-Seater, and Essence 7-Seater. All variants share a 69.2 kWh battery pack clubbed with a front-axle-mounted electric motor producing 204 hp and 310 Nm. The Hector Tomahawk electric SUV delivers a certified range of 517 km on a single charge. 

As performance and range remains identical across the lineup, selecting the best variant depends entirely on seating needs, feature requirements and price.

Excite 7-Seater (Entry): this entry-level variant delivers core EV capabilities at lowest entry price. It is packed with a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, digital instrument console, 6 airbags, and others. Featuring 69.2 kWh battery pack, the electric SUV supports a 90 kW fast-charging. 

Exclusive 7-Seater (Mid-Spec): This mid-level variant adds new set of premium features, including ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, leatherette seats, dual-zone climate control and a 360-degree surround view camera. 

Essence 5-Seater & 7-Seater (Top-Spec): This is the top-end variant, which comes equipped with full LEVEL 2 ADAS safety suite with features like adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking and others. It also gets a powered tailgate and infinity audio system. The 5-seater model offers a cargo volume of 610-litres.

The Hector Tomahawk EV Exclusive 7-Seater is the best value-for-money option in the electric SUV lineup. Priced at Rs 21.99 lakh (or Rs 16.49 lakh under the BaaS battery rental scheme), the electric SUV offers essential premium features such as ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, a 12.8-inch central touchscreen, digital driver’s display, leatherette seats, and 360-degree cameras. The top-end variant costs another 1.5 lakh, which adds features like LEVEL 2 ADAS, powered tailgate and infinity audio system.
