Korean automaker Hyundai has confirmed to introduce its long-awaited Creta EV in the country next quarter. Moreover, the company plans to launch 3 more EVs in the mass and mass premium market over the period of next couple of years. All these models will have high level of localization, suggesting aggressive pricing.  The Hyundai Creta EV is reportedly to be launched in January, most probably at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show. Production of the electric SUV is expected to begin in December 2024. The electric SUV will look similar to the regular ICE model, except for the EV-specific design changes. Some of the styling cues will include a closed-off front grille with the charging port, new bumpers, new aero-optimized alloy wheels and others. The cabin will also have similarities with the regular model; however, it will have new Ioniq 5-like steering wheel and other features.  The Creta EV is likely to get a 45kWh battery pack with a front-axle-mounted electric motor, which will be similar to the one offered on the Kona EV.
