Mercedes-Benz GLA Facelift was unveiled globally in mid-2023, and now it has finally arrived in India today. Priced at Rs 50.50 lakh (ex-showroom), the 2024 model highlights minor design tweaks and added features for better convenience. It carries the same set of petrol and diesel engine choices.
As mentioned above, the New GLA Facelift has minor changes from the outside, maintaining its previous look. The noticeable updates are up front, where it has received a new set of LED headlights, a refreshed grille with vertical lines, and a redesigned bumper.
For the performance version, the AMG Line variant of the GLA Facelift provides a distinctive front grille with pin chrome inserts. On the side, it boasts new 19-inch alloy wheels, and the cladding around the wheel arches now matches the body colour. The tailgate is almost the same, but the LED taillamps have been updated. Mercedes has also added a new Spectral Blue colour option to this model.
The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA SUV gives you the option of dual-tone black and beige alongside an all-black interior. The dashboard layout remains the same, but now it has a redesigned centre console that provides extra storage. In the regular GLA Facelift, there is an illuminated star pattern trim on the passenger side dashboard, while the AMG Line version features a unique carbon structure trim, highlighted by ambient lighting.
The AMG version of this model also comes with the latest AMG steering wheel, equipped with touch controls and wrapped in Nappa leather. For the 2024 GLA, you can choose between Macchiato Beige and Artico Black leather upholstery.
The upgraded GLA comes with two 10.25-inch displays - one for the touchscreen infotainment system while the other one is for the driver. In comparison to before, the infotainment screen now runs on the latest MBUX – NTG7 system, supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In addition, the four-wheeler is packed with features like electrically adjustable front passenger seats with memory function, a gesture-controlled powered tailgate, 64-color ambient lighting, and a two-part panoramic sunroof.
Passenger safety is a priority with 7 airbags, a 360-degree camera, Adaptive High Beam Assist, Active Brake & Blind Spot Assist, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) among others.
New Mercedes GLA Facelift carries forward the petrol and diesel engine options as before. These include a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine and 2.0-litre turbo-diesel. The petrol version uses a 7-speed DCT gearbox and is front-wheel drive. On the other hand, the diesel offers an 8-speed DCT and is equipped with Mercedes' 4Matic all-wheel drive system.
