Recently, Citroen unveiled its all-new Basalt Coupe SUV globally. Now, the production-ready Basalt was spotted undisguised in India, an Instagram post was shared by '1dgasm'. The French automaker is expected to launch its new coupe SUV in the second half of this year.
Citroen Basalt Coupe SUV: Design Details
From the design perspective, the front fascia of the Basalt looks quite similar to the C3 Aircross with the signature two-slat grille housing the Citroen emblem. It also features an aggressive front bumper with a wide radiator grille, wraparound LED taillamps, flip-door handles, squared-off wheel arches, and a lifted tailgate section.
Tech Features
On the inside, the upcoming Basalt will be loaded with more features than the C3 Aircross. It is likely to come equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity. Other features include auto-dimming IRVM, automatic climate control, digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, and more.
Engine Options
Under the hood, Citroen Basalt will house the same powertrain option provided in the C3 Aircross model. This includes a 1.2-litre turbo petrol motor paired to a 6-speed manual and automatic torque converter. The turbo petrol engine can deliver a maximum power of 109 bhp with 205 Nm of torque.
