Mahindra XUV700 is one of the top-selling SUVs by indigenous automakers in the country. The SUV was first introduced in August 2021 as the second-generation XUV500 and marked the debut of Mahindra’s new logo. Since its market arrival, the XUV700 has not received any generation change; however, a mid-life update is expected in 2025.
The 2025 Mahindra XUV700 facelift is expected to borrow some features from the born-electric XEV 9e electric SUV. While the official details will be revealed in the near future, it is expected to come with a triple screen setup, NFC car unlocking, two-spoke steering wheel, AR (augmented reality-based) HUD (head-up display), 16 speaker sound system, auto park assist, selfie camera and dual wireless phone charger.
Triple screen layout – a fully digital instrument cluster for real-time vehicle information, a large centre touchscreen infotainment system, and a screen for the front passenger.
NFC Car Unlocking – Near Field Communication (NFC) enables the user to unlock the vehicle using an NFC-enabled smartphone or key card.
Two-spoke steering wheel – Similar to its XEV 9e, the updated XUV700 will get a new two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Mahindra logo and mounted controls.
AR-based HUD – The Augmented Reality (AR) based HUD is a high-tech feature offering real-time ADAS alerts, navigation, speed and safety warnings on the windshield.
16-speaker sound system – The XEV 9e has an advanced 3D surround system, which is likely to be carried forward to the XUV700 facelift.
Auto park assist – It’s essentially a self-parking system, that assists drivers in parking the vehicles in parallel and perpendicular parking slots.
Selfie camera – The SUV might also get a built-in camera for clicking selfies or making video calls.
Dual wireless phone charger – The regular XUV700 comes with a single wireless charger, while its updated version is likely to come with two charging pads.
Similar to the pre-facelift version, the 2025 Mahindra XUV700 facelift is likely to retain the existing 2.0L mStallion turbocharged petrol and 2.2L mHawk turbocharged diesel engines. The petrol engine delivers a maximum power of 200bhp and 380Nm of torque, while the diesel motor produces 115bhp with 360Nm in lower state and 185bhp with 420Nm in higher state. Both manual and automatic gearboxes will also be carried forward from the pre-facelift version.
