New Fortuner 2026 likely to launch soon in India. Bolder design with Land Cruiser inspired styling. Same 2.8L diesel and strong 4x4 setup expected.
The New Toyota Fortuner is expected to arrive in India soon, possibly by late 2026 or early 2027. The Fortuner has been the top choice in the D-segment SUV space for many years. With the New Fortuner 2026, Toyota is likely to make it even more bold and premium.
There is no official launch date yet, but expectations are high from the 2026 Fortuner.
The new Fortuner is expected to get a bigger grille and sharper LED headlamps. The tail lamps at the back may also get a new design.
The bumpers could be slightly updated. New alloy wheels are also expected. However, Toyota is likely to keep the strong and muscular shape that buyers love.
Some styling details may be inspired by the premium Toyota Land Cruiser, giving the SUV a more powerful road presence.

Inside, the New Fortuner 2026 may get a new dashboard layout. It is expected to feature a digital instrument cluster and an updated touchscreen system.
The centre console may look more modern. Physical AC buttons are likely to continue. Comfort features such as ventilated seats may also remain.
Overall, the cabin is expected to feel more upmarket while keeping its practical design.
The 2026 Fortuner is expected to continue with the same engine options.
It may offer the 2.7-litre petrol engine that makes 166 PS and 245 Nm. The 2.8-litre diesel engine that produces 204 PS and 500 Nm is also likely to continue.
Manual and automatic gearbox options are expected. The diesel automatic may also keep the Neo Drive system with a 48V mild hybrid setup.
The New Toyota Fortuner is known for its strong build. It is based on a body-on-frame chassis, and this is likely to remain the same.
The SUV is expected to continue with a capable 4x4 system. Features like Hill Assist Control, Electronic Differential Lock, and Vehicle Stability Control may also be offered.
The Toyota Fortuner competes with SUVs like the Jeep Meridian, MG Gloster, and Skoda Kodiaq.
New models like the Volkswagen Tayron R-Line and MG Majestor have also entered the market. Even with new competition, the Fortuner remains a favourite among Indian buyers.
Currently, the Fortuner starts at Rs 34.16 lakh (ex-showroom). The top diesel automatic 4WD version starts at Rs 42.37 lakh (ex-showroom).
