The performance-oriented Tata Altroz Racer is soon to be launched in the market. Ahead of its launch in June 2024, unofficial bookings have opened at select dealerships across India. Interested customers can place their order for this sportier hatchback at the token amount of Rs 21,000.
Tata Altroz Racer is expected to offer a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity. Other noteworthy features include an all-digital instrument cluster, cruise control, wireless charger, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, an electrically adjustable single-pane sunroof, and a 360-degree surround camera.
Under the hood, the Altroz Racer will house a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine. This engine also powers the Tata Nexon. It is tuned to send the maximum power of 118 bhp and 170 Nm of peak torque. While the regular Altroz gets a 5-speed manual gearbox, its sportier version will likely get the 6-speed manual option.
The Altroz Racer is likely to sit above the Altroz iTurbo, priced at Rs 9.20 lakh (ex-showroom). We can expect the sportier hatchback to be priced at around Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon launch, it will rival the Hyundai i20 N Line.
