Hyundai Motor India has taken off the cover from an updated version of its subcompact sedan, the Aura. New Hyundai Aura has been launched at the starting price of Rs 6.29 lakh (ex-showroom) while the top-spec variant of the sedan is priced at Rs 8.57 lakh (ex-showroom). According to the company, the 2023 Hyundai Aura Facelift offers up to 30 safety features including 6 airbags. Further, it comes with CNG and Petrol trims, however, the diesel variants have been discontinued in the new range.

The updated version of the Aura comes with a refreshed design, especially up front. The upgraded sedan gets a newly painted black radiator grille and new inverted L-shaped LED DRLs positioned at the edges of the front bumper. However, there are no fog lamps on the 2023 Aura. Overall, the front looks quite sharper than the outgoing model.

Besides the front end, there is hardly any significant change on the side; even the alloy wheels remain the same. Towards the rear, the Aura Facelift looks identical to the current Aura; the bumper and the tail lamps remain the same. The only significant update is a boot-lid spoiler which was earlier offered as an accessory but it is now offered in all trims as standard fitment except the base trim. Customers can also get a new Starry Night colour option for the updated model.

Inside, the cabin layout remains the same, but it highlights new upholstery for the seats, new lighting for the footwell area, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. While the Aura Facelift retains the same 8.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a wireless charger, automatic climate control, and rear AC vents, it also gets additional tech features which include new Type-C charging ports and the new 3.5-inch digital display available in the instrument cluster.
In terms of safety features, the Hyundai Aura Facelift offers 4 airbags as standard with the option of 6 airbags. Safety is also boosted with equipment like Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Start Assist Control (HAC), and Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) which are offered as standard with Smart Auto AMT and as an option with 5-speed manual transmission variants. It also comes equipped with a new Tyre Pressure Monitoring System among others.
The facelifted model carries the same 1.2-litre petrol option that produces 82 bhp of maximum power and 113.8 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 5-speed manual or the AMT gearbox. In addition, the New Hyundai Aura gets a factory-fitted CNG kit with the 1.2-litre petrol engine which can generate 68 bhp of maximum power and 95.2 Nm of peak torque, paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. However, the 2023 Aura does not offer the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine that was provided on the pre-facelifted model.
Hyundai is now offering 6 monotone colour options for its 2023 Aura model. It includes Titan Grey, Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Fiery Red, Teal Blue, and the new Starry Night paint shade.
Hyundai Aura Facelift has been launched at the introductory price of Rs 6.29 lakh (ex-showroom) in the Indian market. Its top-spec variant is priced at Rs 8.57 lakh (ex-showroom). You can book the Facelifted model online or at your nearest Hyundai showroom. Moreover, the New Aura takes on the likes of Honda Amaze petrol (priced at Rs 6.89 lakh to Rs 9.48 lakh, ex-showroom), the Maruti Suzuki Dzire (priced at Rs 6.24 lakh to Rs 9.18 lakh, ex-showroom), and the Tata Tigor (priced at Rs 6.10 lakh to Rs 8.84 lakh, ex-showroom) in its segment.
