And, the credit for the same goes to Mahindra for taking such a bold move to offer such a technology in mass-market vehicles. For starters, Dolby Atmos is a sound tech that creates a 3D, spatial audio soundstage for immersive audio experience. Mahindra Leads with 4 SUVs

The Mahindra XUV 3XO is the most affordable mass market car in our market to get this Dolby Atmos sound system. It is the world’s first SUV under Rs 12 lakh to offer the technology. Deliveries for the SUV will commence from September 2025. 

The adventure-focused lifestyle SUV, the Mahindra Thar Roxx was the first ICE-powered Mahindra to get Dolby Atmos. This feature is available on its top-end AX7 L variant. 

The Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e electric SUV Coupes were the first ones to get the high-quality audio system. The Dolby Atmos audio tech will also be offered on the upcoming Mahindra XEV 7e and the XUV 700 facelift.

Tata Joins the Race

Tata Motors has also offered the Dolby Atmos sound system to the Harrier EV line-up. It is the first Tata model to get this advanced audio technology. The electric SUV comes with Harman’s JBL Black audio system with Dolby Atmos. It is fitted with 6.5-inch speakers, 4 tweeters on the front and rear doors, mid-range speakers on the dashboard and a deep bass subwoofer in the boot area. Adding to it, the SUV gets an 8-channel amplifier. 

Audi with Luxury cars

In the luxury segment, Audi has added Dolby Atmos tech into select modes, including Audi Q7, Q8 and the e-tron GT. 

Maruti Suzuki to Join Soon

Maruti Suzuki will be the next car manufacturer to offer Dolby Atmos sound system in mass-market cars. The soon-to-be-launched ARENA-only Escudo midsize SUV is reportedly to be the first Maruti car to feature Dolby Atmos sound system.
