First launched in August 2021, Tata brought its updated Tigor EV in November 2022. The car is currently priced at Rs 12.49 lakh to Rs 13.75 lakh (ex-showroom).
It is packed with a 26 kWh lithium-ion battery pack which is paired with a permanent synchronous electric motor. The combined power output of the battery and motor delivers 74 bhp and 170 Nm of torque. Additionally, Tata Tigor EV comes with two drive modes - Drive and Sport.

Tata Motors had launched the electric version of the Tiago hatchback in our market in September 2022. This model has received an excellent response from buyers, especially from budget conscious buyers. The Tata Tiago.ev is currently available in the price bracket of Rs 7.99 to Rs 11.89 Lakh.
The entry-level electric hatchback is available in two battery packs. The affordable variants are packed with a 19.2kWh battery which is claimed to offer a range of up to 250 km on a single charge. The Tiago.ev with a larger 24kWh battery pack provides a claimed range of 315 km.

The Nexon EV is the country's top-select passenger electric vehicle, which helps Tata Motors to dominate the EV space. The company had launched the new Nexon EV facelift in the country in September 2023. This electric hatchback is priced at Rs 14.49 lakh for the base variant, while its top-spec model costs Rs 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Tata Nexon.ev is available in two variants - MR and LR. The MR variant is packed with a 30kWh battery, while the LR is fitted with a larger 40.5kWh battery. The MR variant is claimed to offer an ARAI certified range of 325 km on a single charge, while the LR offers a range of up to 465 km.
Both variants come with a front-axle-mounted permanent synchronous electric motor. The MR variant produces 129bhp and 215 Nm of torque, while the LR variant produces 145bhp and 215 Nm of torque. The SUV is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph in 8.9 seconds before hitting a top speed of 150kmph. It offers three drive modes - Eco, City and Sport - and four-level brake regeneration using paddle shifters.

Tata Motors launched the electric derivative of its popular micro SUV, Punch in the market in January 2024. This EV is based on the brand's new Acti.ev architecture, which is compatible with multiple body styles, drivetrains and battery pack options. The Tata Punch.ev is available in the price bracket of Rs 10.99 lakh to Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Tata Punch.ev is offered with two battery options - a 25kWh and a 35kWh. While the former offers a range of 315 km, the bigger battery offers 421 km of MIDC range. The LR variants offer 122hp and 190Nm, while the regular variants get an 82bhp, 114Nm, front-axle-mounted electric motor. The LR variant can achieve 0-100kmph in less than 9.5 seconds and the time increases to 13.5 seconds for the regular variant.
Tata Motors aims to further increase its market share in the passenger electric vehicle segment. The company plans to launch more EVs based on its new Acti.ev architecture, which is flexible enough to accommodate bigger vehicles. In the next 18 months, the brand plans to launch at least 4 new electric SUVs including the Curvv EV, Harrier.ev, Sierra and the Safari EV.
