First-ever fully electric Range Rover revealed with 543bhp and 850Nm. New electric luxury SUV gets a 118.5kWh battery and up to 600km WLTP range. Range Rover Electric can wade through up to 900mm of water and supports 350kW fast charging.
JLR has officially revealed the first-ever fully electric Range Rover, marking a major step for the luxury SUV brand. The new Range Rover Electric combines the familiar luxury and off-road ability of the Range Rover with an all-electric powertrain. The electric SUV will be offered with a 118.5kWh battery pack and can deliver up to 600km of claimed WLTP range. It produces 543bhp of power and 850Nm of peak torque.
The Range Rover Electric uses a dual-motor setup with all-wheel drive. The electric powertrain produces 543bhp and 850Nm, giving the SUV strong performance while retaining its focus on comfort and off-road driving. JLR says the SUV can accelerate from 0-100kmph in around 4.5 seconds. The electric Range Rover also gets an 800V electrical architecture to support fast charging.

The Range Rover Electric gets a large 118.5kWh battery pack. It has a claimed WLTP range of up to 600km, while real-world range is expected to be around 535km. The SUV supports DC fast charging at up to 350kW. JLR claims the battery can charge from 10 to 80 per cent in around 22 minutes under suitable charging conditions. The company also says a quick 10-minute charge can add around 220km of range.
Despite being fully electric, the new Range Rover has been developed to retain the brand's off-road capability. It can wade through water up to 900mm deep and comes with an advanced all-wheel-drive system. The electric powertrain also allows more precise control of torque at each wheel, which can help the SUV tackle difficult surfaces at low speeds.
The Range Rover Electric retains the premium cabin expected from the brand, with a large touchscreen infotainment system, digital displays and high-quality materials. The SUV also gets a quiet cabin, with the electric powertrain further reducing engine noise. JLR has focused on making the electric Range Rover feel refined both on the road and during off-road driving.
JLR has opened bookings for the Range Rover Electric in India, with deliveries expected at a later stage. Pricing details are yet to be announced. Once launched, the electric Range Rover will sit in the premium electric SUV segment and compete with models such as the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV, BMW iX and Volvo EX90.
