Mahindra is preparing to enter the electric SUV space with the XUV700 Electric, also known as the XEV 7e. This upcoming Mahindra SUV is the electric version of the bestselling XUV700 and will be built on the brand’s new INGLO EV platform.
Mahindra XUV700 Electric is expected to be priced between Rs 21 lakh and Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom). The final price will depend on the battery and motor configuration.
Buyers will likely get two battery choices for the XEV 7e:
- 59 kWh – with a claimed range of around 542 km
- 79 kWh – with a claimed range of up to 656 km
Based on WLTP standards, real-world range is expected to be up to 450 km on a single charge.
Moreover, the XUV700 Electric is expected to be available in both:
- Single-motor, rear-wheel drive (RWD)
- Dual-motor, all-wheel drive (AWD)
The dual-motor version will offer improved traction and acceleration, making it suitable for tough road conditions.
While the SUV will keep the XUV700’s overall shape, the electric version will feature:
- EV-specific bumpers and grille design
- LED wrap-around tail-lamps
- Aero-friendly alloy wheels for better efficiency
Inside, the XUV700 EV will boast a feature-packed, tech-forward cabin, including:
- Triple-screen layout: infotainment, driver display, and passenger screen
- Panoramic sunroof
- Ventilated front seats with memory settings
- Ambient lighting and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system
Mahindra is likely to launch the XUV700 Electric in early 2026.
Once launched, the Mahindra XEV7e will take on electric SUV rivals like the Tata Harrier EV, which offers a blend of performance, luxury, and long-range capabilities.
