Top 3 Tata EVs Set to Launch in 2026

Tata Sierra EV, Tiago EV facelift, and Avinya EV coming to India in 2026. Bigger batteries and longer range for all three new Tata EVs. Tata expands its electric car lineup for families and premium buyers.

Tata Motors is all set to expand its electric car lineup in India in 2026. The company plans to launch at least three new EVs, ranging from a sporty electric SUV to a facelifted compact hatchback and a premium sportback. These new models aim to offer more choices for Indian buyers looking for electric vehicles, with longer ranges, modern features, and practical designs. Here’s what we know so far.

1. Tata Sierra EV

Tata Sierra EV will launch in the second quarter of 2026 (April to June). This all-electric SUV will sit between the Curvv EV and Harrier EV in Tata’s lineup. It may come with a single-motor rear-wheel-drive option and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive option.

It will be built on Tata’s acti.ev+ platform and could offer multiple battery sizes. The bigger 65 kWh battery may give over 500 km of range on a full charge. The SUV may also support Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) charging. With plenty of space and practical features, it will be a good choice for families.

2. Tata Tiago EV Facelift

The Tiago EV, Tata’s smallest and most affordable electric car, will get a facelift in the third quarter of 2026, just before Diwali. The new version is expected to have a redesigned front with updated headlamps, new bumpers, and fresh alloy wheels.

Inside, the updates will be minor, but bigger battery options could be offered. Right now, the Tiago EV comes with 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh batteries, which give a range of 223 km and 293 km. The facelifted model will make the hatchback more appealing to city drivers.

3. Tata Avinya EV

Tata Avinya EV is a premium sportback SUV expected by the end of 2026. The Avinya concept first appeared at the 2023 Auto Expo, and a pre-production version called Avinya X was shown last year.

It is based on Tata’s Gen 3 EV platform and Jaguar Land Rover’s Electrified Modular Architecture (EMA). The Avinya EV will have multiple battery options and could offer AWD. Prices may start around Rs 35 lakh (ex-showroom), and it could deliver over 600 km on a full charge. It will compete with models like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6.

With these three new EVs, Tata Motors will give Indian buyers more options across small cars, SUVs, and premium electric vehicles. Longer range, bigger batteries, and useful features make these cars worth waiting for.
