Maruti Victoris in Huge Demand - Waiting Period Extends After 25,000 Bookings

Maruti Suzuki’s latest compact SUV, the Victoris, has turned out to be an instant hit in the Indian market. Launched on September 15, 2025, at a starting price of Rs 10.50 lakh (ex-showroom), the Victoris is positioned to take on strong rivals like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. Within just a month of launch, the SUV has recorded over 25,000 bookings, showing how strongly buyers have responded to Maruti’s latest offering.

Maruti Victoris Waiting Period Stretches Up to 10 Weeks

Due to the overwhelming response, the waiting period for the Maruti Victoris has now extended to around 10 weeks. Despite Maruti ramping up production to meet the demand, several dealerships are quoting delivery lead times of 2 to 3 months, depending on the city and variant.

In comparison, most Maruti Arena cars usually have a waiting period of 1 to 2 months, and in some cities, even immediate deliveries are available. However, the Victoris’ popularity has clearly pushed demand beyond expectations.

Why Maruti Victoris Is in High Demand

Several factors have contributed to the Victoris’ growing popularity. Unlike the Grand Vitara, which is sold through Maruti’s premium Nexa outlets, the Victoris is retailed via the wider Arena network, giving it a much broader reach.

The SUV’s strong road presence, feature-rich cabin, and 5-star safety rating under both Bharat NCAP and Global NCAP have further boosted its appeal. Buyers also appreciate the variety of engine options - petrol, strong hybrid, and factory-fitted CNG.

Adding to its success is the competitive price range of Rs 10.5 lakh to Rs 19.99 lakh, which makes it one of the most value-packed SUVs in the segment.

How It Compares to Rivals

Among compact SUVs, the Hyundai Creta currently commands a waiting period of 1 to 3 months, depending on the variant and region. The Kia Seltos, on the other hand, has a waiting period of up to 2 months.

Maruti’s own Grand Vitara, which shares similarities with the Victoris, generally has a shorter waiting period of about 1.5 months. Similarly, the Toyota HyRyder, a rebadged version of the Grand Vitara, sees waiting times between 1 to 3 months across most major cities.
