Volkswagen India has officially revealed the price of the all-new Tayron in India. The premium three-row SUV has been launched at Rs 46.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Tayron replaces the discontinued Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace in the brand’s Indian portfolio. It is based on the same MQB Evo platform as the Volkswagen Tiguan but comes with a longer wheelbase for more space.
Unlike the Tiguan, the Tayron is being locally assembled in India. It is offered in a single fully-loaded R-Line variant.

In terms of styling, the Tayron carries forward Volkswagen’s familiar design language. The front features sleek projector headlamps on either side of a closed grille. The bumper gets a sporty look with a wide central air dam.
From the side, the larger proportions are noticeable. The Tayron sits on a wheelbase that is 109 mm longer than the Tiguan, which helps create more room inside. The alloy wheel design is similar to the Tiguan.
At the rear, the SUV gets revised tail-lamps while maintaining a clean and premium look.

Inside, the Tayron follows Volkswagen’s latest interior layout. It gets a layered dashboard design, a large free-standing touchscreen and minimal physical buttons on the centre console.
A fully digital instrument cluster is neatly integrated into the dashboard. The key highlight is the addition of a third row of seats, making it a practical seven-seater SUV.
The Tayron R-Line comes packed with premium features. It includes a panoramic sunroof, multi-colour ambient lighting and wireless phone charging for two devices.
Other highlights include ventilated and massaging front seats, a large 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a full suite of ADAS features for improved safety and convenience.
Powering the Tayron is a 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine. The motor produces 200 bhp and 320 Nm of torque.
It is paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox and Volkswagen’s 4Motion all-wheel-drive system. This setup ensures strong performance along with added traction.
With local assembly, premium features and a practical three-row layout, the new Tayron aims to strengthen Volkswagen’s position in the premium SUV segment in India.
