Volkswagen India will finally release the price of the Tayron R-Line 7-seater SUV tomorrow. Interested customers can book the new SUV online or at authorised VW dealerships by paying a token amount of Rs 51,000. The new Tayron R-Line will come as a CKD model, and is being locally assembled.
Set to be the brand’s flagship offering, the new VW Tayron R-Line is expected to be priced between Rs 46 lakh and Rs 48 lakh. It will take on the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq and the soon-to-be-launched MG Majestor.

The new Tayron R-Line is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that produces 204hp and 320Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. It is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph acceleration in just 7.3 seconds before hitting a top speed of 224kmph.

The new VW Tayron R-Line will come in 7 colour choices, namely Dolphin Grey Metallic, Oyster Silver Metallic, Cipression-Green Metallic, Ultraviolet Metallic, Nightshade Blue Metallic, Grenadilla Black Metallic and Oryx White Mother-of-Pearl Effect.
