Volkswagen Tayron Life Variant Launched at Rs 41.99 Lakh

The Tayron Life is around Rs 5 lakh lower than the range-topping R-Line variant It misses out on the sporty cosmetic elements and a pair of seats in the third row. 

Volkswagen has launched the lower-spec version of the Tayron full-size SUV in the Indian market. Called the Tayron Life, the new variant is available at a price tag of Rs 41.99 lakh. The new variant is around Rs 5 lakh lower than the range-topping R-Line variant. This lower-spec variant misses out on the sporty cosmetic elements and a pair of seats in the third row.

The VW Tayron Life is powered by the same 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that powers the R-Line. This engine is capable of producing 204hp and a peak torque of 320Nm. Power is transmitted to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

It misses out on the R-Line styling packages, and has no gloss black finish for grille, cladding under the doors and wheel arches, and rear bumper trim. It gets a differently styled bumper with L-shaped slats on the grille, and a silver painted trim below the grille. The Tayron Life gets slim Matrix LED headlights. The SUV rides on a wheelbase of 2789mm, and measures 4792mm. It gets a differently styled 18-inch alloy wheels. At the back, the SUV gets simpler bumper, tail-lights with LED elements and roof spoiler.

This new variant cabin appears identical to the R-Line variant, however, it misses out on the third-row seats. In terms of features, the new Tayron Life gets a 15-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control, electrically adjustable front seats, ventilation and massage functions for the front seats, two wireless smartphone charging pads, a 360-degree surround view camera, 9 airbags and Level 2 ADAS.
