The company is also testing a new 7-seater SUV based on the Hyryder SUV, which is expected to be launched before the end of this year. Moreover, the new-gen Hilux pick-up is also planned to be introduced in our market in the next couple of months.

Prices of the new electric SUV is expected to be revealed in the next 1 month. It is available with two battery options: a 49kWh and a 61kWh LFP battery. The larger battery offers a range of up to 543km on a single charge, as per the ARAI cycle. The SUV will have an extended rear overhang and a longer body along with a longer wheelbase to accommodate third-row seats. It will also come with AllGrip AWD system, as the spotted model has a visible rear axle shafts. The new 7-seater Hyryder is expected to be offered with the same engine options as the 5-seater model, including a 1.5L NA petrol with mild-hybrid tech, a 1.5L strong hybrid tech and a 1.5L petrol-CNG.
Our sources reveal that the next-gen Hilux will be launched in India by March-April 2026. It will come as a CBU model, and will carry a higher price tag. It is based on Toyota’s IMV body-on-frame platform, and will come with a diesel engine option. The India-spec model will get the 2.8-litre diesel engine with the 48V mild hybrid setup, which we have already seen on the Fortuner Neo Drive. The pickup has a water wading depth of 700mm. It features a new Multi-Terrain Select system that tweaks brake and torque control to offer optimised performance on different terrains. In terms of features, the pickup gets a dual 12.3-inch displays, automatic AC, AWD and drive modes, wireless charging pad, a blind-spot monitor, powered and ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera and ADAS tech.
The Hyryder SUV will soon receive a mid-life update, and is expected to share new-age features with the Maruti Victoris. It will come with LEVEL-2 ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane assist, auto high-beam and others. Other changes will include a bigger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, an 8-speaker infinity sound system with Dolby Atmos, and an 8-way powered driver’s seat.
