Just days after testing a new special edition model for its flagship SUV, MG Motor India has launched the MG Gloster BLACKSTORM edition in India. Priced at Rs 40.30 lakh (ex-showroom) the new limited-edition model is available in both 6 and 7-seater layouts.
On the outside, the Gloster BLACKSTORM features a new Deep Black colour with blacked-out elements in place of chrome. Other notable changes include a large black mesh, wing mirror with sporty red highlights, gloss black alloy wheel and smoked black taillight. Red highlights also continue to the headlamps, callipers, and front & rear bumper.
Moving to the inside, the new Gloster gets dark-themed leatherette seats adorned with red stitching. Based on the top-spec Savvy variant, the new model is provided with features like a large 12.2-inch Touchscreen, power adjustable driver seat, Level 1 ADAS and more.
Overall, the changes to the new MG Gloster BLACKSTORM edition make the SUV imposing and sportier.

The new Gloster BLACKSTORM is offered in a total of 4 variants in both 2WD and 4WD configurations. The Gloster 2WD is priced at Rs 40.30 lakh (ex-showroom) for both 6- and 7-seater variants while the 4WD variant is priced at Rs 43.08 lakh (ex-showroom).

The new models continue to come powered by the familiar 2.0-litre twin-turbocharge diesel engine making 158 bhp and 373 Nm of peak torque. This system comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. There are 7 drive modes (Snow/Mud/Sand/Eco/Sport/Normal/Rock) on offer with the AWD models.
Rivals to the new MG Gloster BLACKSTORM include the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian and the Skoda Kodiaq.
