MG Windsor EV has emerged as a trump card for JSW MG Motor India. This electric MPV, along with the Comet EV and ZS EV, has helped the carmaker challenge dominance of Tata Motors in the EV space. In its first month of launch (September 2024), it posted total sales of 502 units, just a few units behind the Tata Nexon EV. In October, November and December 2024, the carmaker managed to sell 3,116 units, 3,144 units and 3,785 units of the electric MPV, respectively.
In January 2025, the total sales of the MG Windsor stood at 3,450 units. During September 2024 to January 2025, Tata Motors sold 7,047 units of the Nexon EV and 5,708 units, combined sales of 12,755 units. During the same period, JSW MG Motor India retailed a total of 13,997 units of the Windsor EV, surpassing Tata’s combined EV sales.

The BaaS (Battery-as-a-Serivce) program has been working in favour of the MG Windsor EV. This flexible ownership scheme not only reduces the per kilometre expense significantly (Rs 3.5 per km) but also eliminates the upfront cost of the battery. Furthermore, its spacious and comfortable interior loaded with advanced features has been attracting buyers.
Currently, this compact electric MPV is available in three variants – Excite, Exclusive and Essence – priced at Rs 15.63 lakh, Rs 16.78 lakh and Rs 17.93 lakh, respectively. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom. It comes in four colour options – Clay Beige, Pearl White, Starburst Black and Turquoise Green.
The MG Windsor uses a 38kWh LFP battery featuring prismatic cell and a front axle-mounted electric motor that delivers a maximum power of 136bhp and 200Nm of torque. MG claims that the electric MPV offers a range of 331km on a single charge. It comes with four driving modes – Eco+, Eco, Normal and Sport. The battery pack can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 55 minutes by using a 45kW fast charger.
