Aston Martin Valen gets an 850hp twin-turbo V12 and 345kph top speed. The limited-run GT is 110kg lighter than the Vanquish. Only 150 units will be built, priced at around Rs 19.46 crore.
Aston Martin has unveiled the new Valen at the 2026 Monterey Car Week, introducing its most powerful front-engined production car yet. Developed by the brand's Q personalisation division, the Valen combines a high-output V12 engine with a lighter body, revised aerodynamics and a more focused chassis setup. Production will be limited to just 150 units worldwide, with deliveries scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2027.

The Valen is powered by a 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine derived from the Vanquish. However, Aston Martin has increased its output to 850hp, while peak torque remains at 1,000Nm. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. The gearbox software has been revised using learnings from the Vantage GT4 race car, with Aston Martin aiming to deliver quicker and more engaging shifts. The Valen can accelerate from 0-100kph in 3.1 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 345kph. This makes it 0.2 seconds quicker to 100kph than the Vanquish.

Aston Martin has focused heavily on reducing weight. The Valen is 110kg lighter than the Vanquish, thanks to the extensive use of carbon fibre, aluminium, titanium and magnesium. The car also gets revised settings for the ESP, throttle, braking and steering systems. Stiffer suspension springs are designed to reduce body roll and pitch, while improving the car's response during aggressive driving.

The Valen represents a significant departure from Aston Martin's more understated GT designs. The front end gets a new bonnet with a functional top vent that helps channel additional air towards the engine. The familiar Aston Martin grille stretches across the front fascia, while slim horizontal LED headlights and DRLs give the car a sharper appearance. A large front splitter further improves airflow management. The car rides on lightweight magnesium wheels wrapped in specially developed Pirelli P Zero R tyres. The tyres measure 275/35 ZR21 at the front and 325/30 ZR21 at the rear. Large functional vents have also been integrated into the side strakes. These help extract air from the wheel arches and direct airflow towards the rear.
The rear of the Valen is equally distinctive. Instead of a traditional fixed rear windscreen, Aston Martin has used a solid tailgate that opens to reveal 170 litres of boot space. The tailgate incorporates an aerodynamic wing that works as a Gurney flap, generating additional downforce while avoiding the need for a conventional rear wing. A slim LED light bar sits below the wing, while four 3D-printed titanium exhaust outlets are arranged in a 2+2 layout. The upper outlets remain open at all times, while the lower pair open in the more aggressive drive modes. Customers can also specify a fully exposed carbon-fibre exterior through Aston Martin's Q personalisation department.

The Valen's cabin takes inspiration from the Vanquish but introduces several bespoke elements. The dashboard features a 10.25-inch digital driver's display and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, along with a three-spoke steering wheel. The centre console is 3D-printed and finished in carbon fibre. It houses the push-button start-stop system and an aircraft-style drive mode selector. Buyers can choose between Sport Plus seats or carbon-fibre Performance seats. The former focuses on a combination of support and long-distance comfort, while the latter offers a more focused driving position. Other features include a 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system, 360-degree camera, digital inside rearview mirror, powered steering column and wireless phone charger.
The Aston Martin Valen is priced at GBP 1.5 million, which is approximately Rs 19.46 crore, before optional extras. Only 150 units will be produced globally through Aston Martin's Q personalisation division. The first deliveries are scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2027, making the Valen one of the most exclusive V12 models in Aston Martin's current lineup.
