Tata Altroz Racer - More Powerful Engine

The Tata Altroz Racer hot hatchback will be powered by a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that also powers the Nexon compact SUV. This engine is capable of producing 118bhp and 170Nm of torque, which is good 10bhp and 30Nm higher than the existing Altroz iTurbo. Instead of a 5-speed manual gearbox, the Altroz Racer is likely to be offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Design & Interior

The Altroz Racer showcased at the BMS 2024 has received multiple visual changes along with some new features addition. It appears more sportier than the regular model. The sportier hatch gets a dual-tone paint scheme with twin racing stripes on the bonnet and roof. There is a 'Racer' badge firmly placed on the front fenders. The front fascia gets a prominent grille to offer a sporty feel. It rides on a newly styled 16-inch alloy wheels.

Adding to it, the hatchback will have high-end features like ventilated front seats, a HUD or Heads-Up Display, a 360-degree camera and an electric sunroof. To give it a sporty feel, the hot hatch is likely to get new leatherette upholstery with contrasting stitching. Adding to it, the 'Racer' insignia will be embossed on the seats.
