MG Motors is a British car manufacturer that started its journey in India at the start of 2019 with the launch of the Hector SUV. Since then, the company has grown from strength to strength launching multiple new products including EVs in the country. Now 3 years after its debut, the company is all set to launch a facelift model of the Hector in India. Building hype around the same, the MG Motors has shared teasers showcasing the front end and the interiors of the new SUV. Here is everything we know about the upcoming MG Hector Facelift.

Starting with the looks, there isn’t much change but to differentiate it from the current model its MG has provided the Hector Facelift with a new face. The front end gets a new grille which is flanked by DRLs on both sides. The grille is broader and larger than before with chrome finish. Overall, the road presence of the car will be increased. A new set of alloys will also be added to the upcoming MG hector Facelift.

Moving to the interior, we are expected to witness an all-new layout with a tablet sized vertical touchscreen infotainment unit along with a digital cockpit. Coming to the current model, the new model will feature an all-new and premium interior.

Similar to its younger sibling the MG Astor, the Hector facelift is expected to come equipped with level 2 ADAS functions which include Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind-Spot assist, Blind-Spot detection, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, emergency braking and more. We also expect the company to offer 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic parking brake and brake assist to come as standard.

In terms of powertrain, the new model will continue to use the 1.5L 4-cylinder petrol engine that is sufficient for 140 bhp and 240 Nm from the current generation MG Hector, while the 2.0-litre turbo diesel is also expected to be on sale producing engine 168 bhp and 350 Nm. Both engines are expected to come mated to either a 6-speed MT or a CVT gearbox option.
