Citroen C3

Citroen C3 is a 5-door mid-sized hatchback offering that is re-developed specifically for the emerging markets like India. Based on the Common Modular Platform (CMP), the C3 hatchback was first launched internationally back in 2002 and since then has spawned three generations and numerous facelifts.

Citroen C3: Exterior

The 2023 Citroen C3 comes sporting a bold look that is unlike anything we have seen in the market. Categorized as a hatchback by the company, the new model gets a bold face with a large flat bonnet and sleek grille providing the brand logo placed in the center.

The front end also features new split headlamp units that maintain the LED DRLs at the top while the main units are placed lower down on the bumper. In addition, there is a large hexagonal air dam along with faux silver skid plate that enhances the overall ruggedness of the vehicle.

As for C3 side profile, the overall silhouette of the car is similar to the larger C3 with a tall stance, flat panels, roof rails and thick body cladding. Despite being a small car, the C3 sports a good ground clearance and rides on 15-inch wheels.

Finally towards the rear, the SUV inspired design continues with an upright boot lid, wrap around tail lamps and a silver skid plate.

Citroen C3: Interior and Features

Interior: Like the exterior, the Citroen C3’s interior is minimalistic with specific rugged touches. Finished in hard plastic the cabin features a vertical dashboard layout and an all-black theme. From the driver's seat the visibility all around is good with a high seating position and large glass area.

Features: In terms of equipment, the New C3 is provided with a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system that offers wireless phone mirroring, a digital instrument cluster, a height-adjustable driver seat, four-speaker sound system, and more.

Safety: In terms of safety, the Citroen C3 gets 2 airbags, ABS with EBD, speed sensitive auto door lock, high-speed alert system, rear doors manual child lock, and more as basic equipment.

Citroen C3: Price and Variants

Citroen C3 price in India starts from Rs 6.16 lakh and extends to Rs 9.08 lakh (ex-showroom). The model is available in 13 variants - Live and Feel trims with a manual transmission.

Citroen C3: Engine and Specification

Citroen C3 is powered by a choice of two petrol engines; a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated mill (80 bhp/115 Nm) and a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol unit (108 bhp/190 Nm). While the former engine comes with a 5-speed manual transmission, the latter is available with a 6-speed manual gearbox option.

The New C3 measures 3,981 mm in length, 1,733 mm in width and 1,604 mm in height having a wheelbase of 2,540 mm. The car gets a large 30-litre fuel tank and 15-inch alloy wheels.

The Citroen C3 offers an ARAI Certified mileage of around 19.8 kmpl with manual transmission.

There are 10 exterior colour options available on the C3. Its monotone colour choices include Polar White, Platinum Grey, Zesty Orange, and Steel Grey. 

The other 6 dual tone colour options include Polar White Body with Zesty Orange Roof, Platinum Grey Body with Zesty Orange Roof, Steel Grey Body with Zesty Orange Roof, Zesty Orange Body with Platinum Grey Roof, Polar White Body with Platinum Grey Roof, and Steel Grey Body with Platinum Grey Roof.
