Citroen C3 Aircross Electric 7-Seater SUV Spied Testing

French automaker Citroen had just recently unveiled the New C3 Aircross in India. The compact SUV is slated to go on sale by mid-2023 and will compete in the crowded compact SUV segment.

During the global reveal, the brand had stated it will launch an electric version of the New SUV as well. Now, the latest spy shots suggest that Citroen has commenced testing of the upcoming eC3 Aircross in India.

Citroen eC3 Aircross: Spied for the first time

The latest spied images are from Chennai. As you can see, the test mule is clad in heavy camouflage. However, on closer inspection, we can notice the battery module poking out from the rear end. Taking the case of eC3 hatchback, then the battery pack is visible from the side only.

Visually, there will be minor differences between the eC3 Aircross and its petrol-powered counterpart. It is expected to offer a rugged looking front-end with a wide grille, split headlight setups with angular LED DRLs, and a faux aluminium skid plate. The side profile will feature
flared wheel arches with chunky body cladding, dual-tone alloy wheels, roof rails, and a large glass area. Towards the rear, the four-wheeler will get C-shaped LED tail lights connected by a black strip and a roof mounted spoiler.

Citroen eC3 Aircross: Powertrain Details

While Citroen has not revealed any details, expect the eC3 Aircross to use a larger battery pack than the eC3 hatchback. The bigger dimensions will allow the SUV to accommodate a 40 to 50 kWh battery pack. It will power a single electric motor and will provide a claimed range of around 350 to 400 kms on a single charge.
