New Citroen e-C3X launched in India with BaaS. Price starts at Rs 6.89 lakh (vehicle only). Offers comfort-focused ride and modern features.
Citroen has launched the new e-C3X in India, and the big talking point is how it makes electric cars more affordable. With its new Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option, buyers don’t need to pay for the battery upfront, which brings down the starting cost quite a bit.
The price for the car (without battery) starts at Rs 6.89 lakh (ex-showroom), making it one of the more budget-friendly entry points into the EV space right now.
Affordable EV Ownership With BaaS
The key update with the e-C3X is its BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) option.
Under this model, customers do not need to buy the battery upfront. Instead, they pay for it separately through a usage-based plan. This helps bring down the entry price of the car.
The introductory price for the e-C3X starts at Rs 6.89 lakh (ex-showroom, vehicle only). Battery usage is charged separately, making monthly costs more predictable for buyers.

Focus on Comfort and Practical Use
Citroen continues to focus on comfort with the e-C3X. The car comes with the brand’s Advanced Comfort suspension and seats, designed to handle rough Indian roads smoothly. It also offers a quiet electric driving experience with low noise and vibration.
The design follows an SUV-inspired look with LED lighting, bold styling elements, and compact dimensions suitable for city use.
Modern Features and Cabin Tech
Inside, the e-C3X gets a more premium and modern cabin than before.
It features a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a digital instrument cluster. The cabin also gets dual-tone interiors and improved seat comfort.
Other convenience features include a wireless charger, connected car technology, and multiple smart controls designed for everyday use.
Safety Equipment
Citroen has equipped the e-C3X with a strong safety package.
It includes 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX mounts, speed alert system, and rear parking assistance. The car is also built on a strong body structure designed for improved crash safety.
Higher variants also offer additional driver assistance features through connected safety systems.
Price and Availability
The new Citroen e-C3X starts at Rs 6.89 lakh (ex-showroom, under BaaS plan), making it one of the more affordable EV entry points in India.
Bookings for the model are now open at Citroen dealerships and on the company’s official website.
