Citroen is gearing up to launch a new Sport Edition of the C3 compact SUV. The teaser, recently released, hints at a sportier and more premium version of the popular C3. This upcoming variant will offer cosmetic upgrades and new features, without any mechanical changes.
Citroen C3 Sport Edition gets a distinctive rally-style 'C3' decal on the exterior to give it a bold look. This is likely to appeal to younger buyers and those looking for a more dynamic design.
Inside the cabin, Citroen is introducing a new interior theme with red accents on the seats and ‘SPORT’ badging to highlight the edition. New feature additions will include ambient lighting, a wireless charger, and a dashcam — features not offered in the standard variant.
Other premium features like auto-folding ORVMs, automatic climate control, a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay will be carried forward.
Under the hood, the C3 Sport Edition remain unchanged. It continues to be powered by the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that delivers 108.6 bhp and 205 Nm of torque. This engine is expected to be paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The C3 Sport Edition will carry forward all the standard safety features from the current model. These include six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, ISOFIX child seat mounts, TPMS, and a rear-view camera.
The Sport Edition is expected to be priced around Rs 30,000 higher than the current top-end variant. This follows the recent launch of the C3 Dark Edition, with Citroen now expanding its lineup with multiple special editions to keep the model fresh.
