Maruti Suzuki launched the fourth-generation Swift on May 9 with a price tag of Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Now, the deliveries for the hatchback have also started in India. Interested customers can visit their nearby dealerships to book or buy new Swift.
From the design perspective, the new Swift gets a major update from the outside. It now features an all-new grille, redesigned LED tail-lamps, sleeker LED headlamps with DRLs, a door-mounted rear door handle, and new alloy wheels.
Moving on to the inside, the hatchback comes equipped with a new dashboard with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Other notable features comprise a wireless charger, wireless smartphone connectivity, a type-C charging port, rear AC vents, automatic climate control, steering-mounted controls, and more.
Safety-wise, the new-gen Swift gets 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, Hill Start Assist, and ESC as standard across all variants.
Under the hood, the 2024 Swift houses a new Z-Series, 1.2-litre petrol engine. This 3-cylinder engine is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT, it can deliver 80 bhp with 112 Nm of torque.
The new Swift is available with 5 variants - LXi, VXi, VXi(O), ZXi, and ZXi+. The price for the base variant stands at Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom), going up to Rs 9.64 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec model.
