The long-awaited 2026 Mahindra XUV 7XO has finally been launched in the Indian market. The new SUV is essentially the re-badged version of the XUV 700 facelift. It is available in AX3, AX5 and AX7 trims - priced between Rs 13.66 lakh and Rs 22.47 lakh, ex-showroom, Pan India. Interested customers can book the new XUV 7XO online or at authorised Mahindra dealerships by paying a token amount of Rs 21,000.
Mahindra has already dispatched the new XUV 7XO to dealerships, and customers previews and test drives are set to commence soon. Deliveries for the new SUV is scheduled to commence from January 14, 2026.
The biggest change is made inside the cabin, as it is the first ICE-powered Mahindra to feature a triple-screen dashboard layout. The SUV shares its electronic architecture with the XEV 9e and XEV 9S, featuring a large connected screen comprising a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, a 12.3-inch co-occupant entertainment screen.
The SUV gets a new brown-and tan interior scheme, and premium leatherette finish. The Mahindra XUV 7XO comes with 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with 1,400 W output and Dolby Atmos for immersive sound experience. The system runs on Mahindra’s new Adrenox+ system which manages infotainment, vehicle intelligence and connectivity. Similar to the Mahindra XEV 9e, the XUV 7XO gets an in-car theatre mode with BYOD functionality.
It coms with a revised central console, featuring a touch panel to operate different functions including door lock/lock, music control, AC and others. The SUV gets a new 540-degree camera system, revised ADAS tech, front parking sensors, auto-dimming IRVM, powered driver and co-driver’s seats, ventilated front seats and others.
The XUV 7XO comes with revised front fascia, featuring a new set of headlamps, an all-new bumper, new front grille and sleeker LED daytime running lamps. Other changes include new tail-lamps connected by LED light bar, new set alloy wheels and revised lower bumper.
The new Mahindra XUV 7XO is available with two engine options, including a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel. Both engines are paired to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The petrol engine produces maximum power of 200PS and a peak torque of 380Nm, while the diesel engine offers two states of tunes - 155PS and 185PS - and up to 450Nm of torque. The AWD (all-wheel-drive) system will continue to be offered with the diesel engine.
