Hyundai Motor India has announced that the Creta SUV has recorded its highest-ever annual sales of 2 lakh units in a single calendar year. This milestone reveals an impressive average of 550 CRETAs being sold every day. This year, the brand Hyundai Creta also completed 10 years of existence, recording a remarkable CAGR of over 9% between 2016 and 2025.
With a market share of over 34% in the mid-size SUV segment, Hyundai CRETA stands way above the rest as a household name across the country. The Creta brand comes with multiple powertrain and transmission options including - 1.5l MPi petrol engine (available in manual and IVT transmission),1.5l CRDi diesel engine (available in manual and automatic transmission), 1.5l turbo GDi petrol engine (available in manual & DCT transmission) and Electric. Designed to meet diverse needs of customers, CRETA is now available in both ICE and EV variants, delivering flexibility, performance and future-ready innovation to every individual.

Aspirations of CRETA customers have also evolved over the years, with sunroof-equipped variants contributing more than 70% of CRETA’s sales in 2025. In addition, the diesel powertrain contributes a strong 44% share to CRETA sales.
