Tata Punch EV 2026 launched at Rs 9.69 lakh. New 40 kWh battery offers up to 468 km range. BaaS option lowers upfront cost with Rs 2/km battery EMI.
Tata Motors has launched the Tata Punch EV facelift 2026 in India with a major price revision and a new Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option. The 2026 Tata Punch EV is now priced from Rs 9.69 lakh (ex-showroom). With the BaaS model, you can opt for a lower upfront cost and pay battery charges separately, making the New Punch more affordable than before.
The 2026 Tata Punch EV launch comes as part of Tata’s strategy to strengthen its hold in the compact electric SUV segment.
One of the biggest highlights of the Tata Punch EV facelift is the introduction of the BaaS plan. Under this model, customers can buy the SUV at a reduced ex-showroom price and pay battery usage charges separately, starting at around Rs 2 per kilometre.
This significantly reduces the entry cost of the Tata Punch EV facelift and makes EV ownership easier for urban buyers. The regular Tata Punch EV facelift price starts at Rs 9.69 lakh and goes up depending on the variant and battery pack.

The 2026 Tata Punch EV now gets a new 40 kWh battery pack option. This larger battery delivers an ARAI-certified range of up to 468 km. In real-world C75 conditions, it offers a claimed range of around 355 km.
The existing 30 kWh battery pack continues to be available, offering a claimed real-world range of over 300 km. With this update, the Tata Punch EV facelift 2026 now offers better range options for both city and occasional highway use.
Charging capability has also improved in the New Punch. The Tata Punch EV facelift supports 65 kW DC fast charging. It can charge from 20 to 80 percent in just 26 minutes. Tata claims that a 15-minute charge can add up to 135 km of range.
The battery uses prismatic LFP cells and comes with a lifetime, unlimited-kilometre warranty. Tata has also improved the e-drive calibration with better algorithm optimisation for improved efficiency and smoother performance.
The 2026 Tata Punch EV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in under nine seconds. It gets multiple drive modes and four levels of regenerative braking, which can be controlled using paddle shifters.
Despite being compact, the electric SUV maintains its SUV stance with 195 mm of ground clearance and a water-wading capacity of up to 450 mm. This ensures it remains practical for Indian road conditions.
