Tata Safari EV could get a triple-screen dashboard. It is expected to share its battery options with the Harrier EV. The three-row electric SUV could launch around Diwali.
Tata Motors is preparing to launch the Safari EV in India, and new spy shots have revealed more details about the upcoming electric SUV. The Safari EV will become Tata's first three-row electric SUV and is expected to arrive around the festive season.
The latest test mule has been spotted with hints of a new dashboard layout. While the setup could not be seen clearly, the Safari EV may get a triple-screen layout similar to the one offered on the Sierra and Sierra EV.
If Tata goes ahead with this setup, the Safari EV could become even more feature-packed than the Harrier EV.
Triple-Screen Dashboard Could Be Offered
The biggest talking point from the latest spy shots is the possibility of a triple-screen dashboard. Tata currently offers this setup on the Sierra and Sierra EV, while the Harrier EV gets a dual-screen layout.
The triple-screen setup could include a digital instrument cluster, a central infotainment screen and a separate display for the front passenger. However, Tata has not confirmed this feature yet. There is also a possibility that the production-spec Safari EV will continue with a two-screen setup.
A triple-screen layout would make sense for the Safari EV, especially as its key rival, the Mahindra XEV 9S, gets three screens as standard.

Safari EV to Share Features With Harrier EV
The Safari EV is expected to share much of its technology with the Harrier EV. However, Tata could add a few extra features to make the three-row SUV more premium.
Expected equipment could include a 14.5-inch Samsung OLED infotainment display, a 540-degree camera, digital IRVM, Level 2+ ADAS, self-parking, summon mode and multiple terrain modes. The electric SUV could also get V2L and V2V functions, allowing it to power external devices or share energy with another compatible vehicle. Tata's Arcade.ev app suite is also expected to be part of the package.
65kWh and 75kWh Battery Options Expected
Under the skin, the Tata Safari EV is expected to use the same battery options as the Harrier EV. The SUV could be offered with 65kWh and 75kWh battery packs. A dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup is also expected, with the system producing up to 500 Nm of torque.
The larger battery version of the Harrier EV has a claimed range of up to 627 km. However, the Safari EV could have a slightly lower claimed range due to its larger size and three-row layout.
Similar Design to ICE Safari
The electric Safari is expected to retain the overall shape and proportions of the existing ICE model. However, Tata will add several EV-specific design elements to distinguish it from the petrol and diesel versions.
The cabin is also expected to offer similar space to the standard Safari, with the third row remaining one of the key selling points. With its combination of three-row seating, long range and advanced features, the Safari EV will target buyers looking for a practical family electric SUV.
Tata Safari EV vs Mahindra XEV 9S
The Safari EV will enter a segment that is becoming more competitive. Its main rival will be the Mahindra XEV 9S, which has already gained attention for its three-row layout and feature-rich cabin. The Safari EV is expected to launch around Diwali and will become an important addition to Tata Motors' growing electric SUV range.
