The Punch EV Facelift could get a bigger battery pack It is expected to get ADAS tech Design and interior changes will be cosmetic in nature
The Tata Punch EV facelift is all set to go on sale in the country tomorrow. The SUV has already been revealed on the INTERNET, revealing the top changes. It will come with revised styling, a longer list of features, and improved range. The Punch EV facelift is positioned between the Tiago EV and the Nexon EV in the company’s EV line-up.
The updated EV will come with a longer list of features, which is expected to increase its pricing slightly. We expect the 2026 Tata Punch EV facelift to cost somewhere between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 15 lakh, ex-showroom. It won’t have a direct rival in our market, but the Punch EV’s higher variants come as an alternative to the likes of the MG Windsor EV, Mahindra XUV 3XO EV, and the Tata Nexon EV.

The new Punch EV facelift is available with two battery choices, including a 25kWh and 35kWh with a front-axle-mounted electric motor. The smaller battery version offers 82hp and 114Nm, while the bigger battery model offers 122hp and 190Nm. The electric SUV could also get a bigger battery pack, as the brand’s latest TVC reveals a range of over 550km. If rumours are to be believed, the small electric SUV could get a 40kWh battery pack from the Nexon EV.
The current Punch EV 25kWh offers a certified range of up to 315km, while the 35kWh derivative delivers a range of up to 421km in a single charge.
The changes are cosmetic in nature, as the Punch EV facelift gets a redesigned bumper with a simpler look, blanked-off front, a larger air dam, and new headlamp setup with black surrounds. Instead of the connected LED DRL, the Punch EV facelift gets the slim daytime running lamps. The charging flap is placed right below the DRL, while the faux silver skid plate gives it a premium touch.
The side profile remains intact, featuring the same C-pillar-mounted rear door handles and aero-optimised 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. At the back, the Punch EV facelift gets new connected tail-lamps which appears similar to the Punch ICE. The lower bumper has been revised.
The Punch EV facelift is expected to receive minimal changes in the form of new upholstery, a revised interior scheme, and new seat upholstery with an extended thigh support. It is expected to get a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. The SUV will have a two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo, rotary dial gear selector, automatic climate control, and a 10.25-inch digital instrument console.
In terms of features, the Punch EV facelift could get an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, an upgraded sound system, a voice-enabled electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charging, air purifier, and ambient lighting.
For safety and security, the Punch EV facelift will get six airbags as standard, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), electronic parking brake with auto-hold, hill hold assist, a 360-degree surround view camera and rear parking sensors. The small electric SUV is expected to be offered with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) tech with features like adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitoring and others.
