The Indian EV market continues to expand with new launches lined up for early 2026. Toyota and Tata are set to introduce three electric SUVs across different segments very soon. These models are expected to bring updated design, improved range and more advanced features to the growing electric SUV space in India.
If you are tracking upcoming electric SUVs 2026 or planning to buy one, here are three upcoming EV cars in India 2026:

Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella is brand’s first fully electric SUV for the Indian market. It was officially unveiled on 20 January 2026, while the full launch and price announcement are expected in late February 2026. Bookings are already open for a token amount of Rs 25,000.
The SUV will be available in three variants - E1, E2 and E3 - and comes with two battery pack choices. The 49 kWh battery offers a claimed range of 440 km, while the larger 61 kWh pack delivers up to 543 km as per ARAI certification.
In terms of features, it gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, JBL sound system, Level 2 ADAS and seven airbags as standard. The expected price range is between Rs 17 lakh and Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom), making it one of the most important upcoming EV cars in India 2026.

The updated Tata Punch EV facelift is scheduled to launch on February 20, 2026. The New Punch will feature a cleaner front design, new colour options and aero-optimised alloy wheels for better efficiency.
Inside the cabin, it is expected to come with a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen and improved safety technology. However, the battery options are likely to remain unchanged. The facelifted model will continue with the same 315 km and 421 km claimed range options.
The expected price range is between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom). The tata punch ev facelift will continue to be one of the more affordable upcoming electric SUVs in the Indian market.

The much-anticipated Tata Sierra EV is expected to arrive in the Q2 of 2026. Built on Tata’s Acti.ev platform, it is expected to offer 55 kWh and 65 kWh battery pack options.
The real-world driving range is estimated to be around 450 to 500 km. The SUV is expected to stand out with its triple-screen dashboard layout, panoramic sunroof and Level 2 ADAS features.
With an expected price range of Rs 20 lakh to Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom), the tata sierra ev will be positioned as a premium offering among upcoming electric SUVs 2026.
