Tata Punch EV Facelift 2026 gets bigger battery and new features. Standard vs Long Range - which one should you buy? Mid variant emerges as the best value pick for most buyers.
Tata Motors has launched the 2026 Punch EV facelift in India. The updated model comes with more features and improved tech.
The Tata Punch EV price starts at Rs 6.49 lakh with the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option. Without BaaS, prices range between Rs 9.69 lakh and Rs 12.59 lakh (ex-showroom).
The 2026 Tata Punch EV is available in five trims - Smart, Smart Plus, Adventure, Empowered and Empowered Plus S.
Let’s take a look at the variant-wise details.
The base Smart trim of the New Punch EV gets a 30 kWh battery pack.
Key features include i-FATC, multi-mode regenerative braking and two drive modes - City and Sport. It also offers iRA.ev with smartwatch connectivity.
Safety features include 6 airbags, ESP, ABS with EBD, hill hold assist and ISOFIX child seat anchors. It rides on R15 steel wheels with hub caps.
The claimed Tata Punch EV range for the 30 kWh version is 365-375 km.
Price: Rs 9.69 lakh (ex-showroom)

The Smart+ trim is available with both 30 kWh (MR) and 40 kWh (LR) battery options.
It adds a 20.32 cm HARMAN infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. You also get paddle shifters for regenerative braking and steering-mounted controls.
The 40 kWh version gets extra features like multi drive modes (Eco/City/Sport), electronic parking brake with auto hold, reverse camera, R16 steel wheels and hill hold control.
The 40 kWh Tata Punch EV battery delivers a claimed range of 468 km.
Prices: 30 kWh - Rs 10.29 lakh
40 kWh - Rs 10.89 lakh
The Adventure trim is available only with the 40 kWh battery pack.
It adds push-button start/stop, keyless entry and cruise control. You also get hill descent control and electric adjustable ORVMs.
It rides on R16 hyper-style steel wheels.
Range: 468 km
Price: Rs 11.59 lakh
The Empowered trim brings premium upgrades to the Tata Punch EV facelift.
It gets a 360-degree camera system, blind spot view monitor and a larger 26.03 cm HD infotainment screen. A matching digital cockpit is also included with navigation support.
Other features include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, air purifier, rear wiper with auto defogger and R16 diamond-cut alloy wheels.
It continues with the 40 kWh battery pack offering 468 km of range.
Price: Rs 12.29 lakh
This is the top-spec version of the New Punch EV.
It adds a voice-assisted electric sunroof, front ventilated seats and leatherette upholstery. Other highlights include wireless smartphone charging, smart LED headlamps, LED fog lamps with cornering function and roof rails.
You also get rear armrest, auto-dimming IRVM and SOS calling function.
Range: 468 km
Price: Rs 12.59 lakh
The Tata Punch EV battery options include:
30 kWh (Medium Range) - 365-375 km claimed range
40 kWh (Long Range) - 468 km claimed range
For most buyers, the mid variant with the standard battery offers the best value. It provides essential modern features, good range for city use and balanced pricing.
If budget allows and range anxiety is a concern, the mid variant with the long-range battery is the smarter choice.
The base variant is good for tight budgets, while the top model is ideal for those who want every feature available.
