Citroen India has just launched a new Shine variant on the C3. The new variant is the hatchback’s flagship trim level, that comes with more standard equipment and some added features. The C3 Shine is priced at Rs 7.60 lakh (ex-showroom).
Citroen India Brand Head, Saurabh Vatsa, stated during the launch, "We are excited to launch the new Shine variant of the Citroën C3 with the latest features that customers in this segment are aspiring for. With the new Citroën Connectivity 1.0 now on board the C3, this hatch with a twist will truly be the perfect all-round package for the young and progressive customer in this competitive segment."
As mentioned above, Citroen has added a number of features on the new C3 Shine variant. On the outside, the car now gets front fog lamps, 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, rear skid plates, a rear wiper/washer and a rear defogger as standard.
Moving to the interior, the Citroen C3 Shine gets the My Citroen Connect App that has 35 connected car features, electrically adjustable ORVMs, manual day/night rear view mirror, and a rear parking camera. Citroen also offers the Vibe pack as an optional extra on the C3 Shine which costs Rs 12,000 more.

The C3 Shine is powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes 82 bhp with 115 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Citroen has updated the powertrain to meet the new BS6 Phase II norms and is also E20 (20% ethanol blend fuel compliant). The C3 has an ARAI-certified mileage of 19.8 kmpl.
Prices for the C3 Shine start from Rs 7.60 lakh (ex-showroom), going up to Rs 7.87 lakh for the Shine Dual Tone Vibe Pack. The hatchback rivals the likes of the Renault Kiger, Tata Punch, Nissan Magnite, and the Maruti Suzuki Ignis.
