Kia India Records 10.3% Growth in January 2026, Strong Response to Seltos and Carens EV

Kia India began 2026 on a positive note. The company sold 27,603 cars in January 2026, showing a 10.3% year-on-year growth compared to 25,025 units sold in January 2025.

The strong sales show steady demand for Kia cars across different segments in India.

New Kia Seltos Leads the Growth

The new-generation Kia Seltos received a strong response from buyers. It continues to be one of the most popular mid-size SUVs in the country and is expected to play a big role in Kia’s growth going forward.

Kia Sonet Continues to Perform Well

Kia Sonet maintained steady sales in the compact SUV segment. Its stylish design, features, and value-for-money appeal continue to attract buyers.

Strong Demand for Carens Clavis and Clavis EV

The Kia Carens Clavis and Clavis EV also saw good demand in January. The Carens offers flexible seating and a spacious cabin, while the Clavis EV, Kia’s first Made-in-India electric car, offers a practical seven-seat EV option for families.

Focus on Design, Technology, and Safety

Kia’s cars are known for their modern design, latest technology, and safety features. Models like the Seltos and Sonet offer connected tech and driver-assistance features, while the Carens lineup focuses on comfort and everyday usability.

Kia Shares Its View on January Sales

Commenting on the performance, Atul Sood, Senior Vice-President, Sales & Marketing, Kia India, said the strong start reflects customer trust in the Kia brand. He added that the balanced product range is helping Kia meet changing customer needs.

Strong Sales and Service Network Across India

Kia India now has 841 touchpoints in 376 cities, making sales and service easily available across the country. The company also operates 122 Certified Pre-Owned outlets, offering easy car exchange and ownership transfer services.

What’s Next for Kia India?

With steady demand and a well-balanced product lineup, Kia India is well placed to continue its growth in 2026. The brand remains focused on offering reliable, feature-rich, and future-ready vehicles for Indian customers.
