The Hyundai Aura sub-4 meter sedan has received a new affordable variant, called the S AMT. The new Aura S AMT is priced at Rs 8.08 lakh, ex-showroom, making it more accessible to a wider customer base. It is powered by Hyundai’s tried & tested 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 82bhp and 114Nm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 5-speed Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) unit.
The Hyundai Aura S AMT is cheaper than the entry-level automatic variants of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire and the Honda Amaze, priced at Rs 8.34 lakh and Rs 9.39 lakh, respectively. The Tata Tiago AMT is the most affordable model in its category, available at a starting price of Rs 7.35 lakh.
The Hyundai Aura S variant is equipped with features like Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Start Assist Control (HAC), LED daytime running lamps (DRLs), 6 airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system and outside rear view mirror with electric folding and turn indicators.
Commenting on the introduction of the new variant, Mr. Tarun Garg, Whole-Time Director and Chief Operating Officer, Hyundai Motor India Limited, said, “At HMIL, we are committed to making smart mobility accessible to a wider set of customers. The introduction of advanced AMT transmission in Hyundai AURA S AMT reflects our continuous efforts to democratize technology and enhance convenience for customers. With this introduction, we aim to redefine the value proposition in the entry segment by offering superior comfort, safety, performance and convenience at an affordable price.”
