Mercedes-Benz has revealed the exclusive details of its India-spec EQA. Set to be launched on July 8, the entry-level electric SUV will be offered in a single 250+ variant with a larger battery pack. Bookings for the EQA are currently open at the token amount of Rs 1.5 lakh.
The electric SUV will be available in eight exterior paint schemes. These include Cosmos Black, Night Black, Polar White, High-tech Silver, Mountain Grey, Spectral Blue, Manufaktur Mountain Grey Magno, and Manufaktur Patagonia Red Metallic. For the interior, the SUV will only receive the grey treatment.
The India-spec EQA will be loaded with a range of tech features such as a dual 10-inch screen setup for touchscreen infotainment and digital driver's display. Other premium features include a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry, a Burmester surround sound system, 64-colour ambient lighting, powered front seats, and more.
Safety-wise, it will offer seven airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, front & rear parking sensors, and an ADAS suite.
Globally, the EQA is offered in 300 4MATIC and 350 4MATIC variants. However, for the India-spec model, customers will only get a sole 250+ variant. The electric SUV will be offered with a larger 70.5 kWh battery pack with a single front-wheel drive motor. This can generate 187 of power and 385 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0-100 in just 8.6 seconds. Its WLTP-claimed range goes up to 560 km.
The India-spec EQA is likely to be priced at Rs 69 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be competitive with Volve XC40 Recharge, BMW iX1, and Volvo C40 Recharge.
