New Lexus ES Hybrid sedan launching in India on March 20. Updated design, bigger cabin and more technology expected. Will rival Audi A4, BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
Lexus India has confirmed that the new-generation Lexus ES Hybrid Sedan will launch in the country on March 20, 2026. The luxury sedan is set to arrive in Indian showrooms nearly a year after its global debut.
The ES has been one of Lexus’ popular models in India, especially because of its strong hybrid powertrain and premium comfort. With this update, the sedan is expected to bring a refreshed design, new technology and improved features.

The new Lexus ES is expected to continue with strong hybrid powertrains in India. Internationally, the sedan is offered with multiple electrified options, including hybrid and fully electric versions.
For India, the lineup could include ES300h and ES350h hybrid variants. Both versions are expected to use a 2.5-litre petrol hybrid engine, though power outputs may vary depending on the variant. Some markets also offer both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations.
The new-generation ES comes with several design updates compared to the current model. It features sharper styling, updated LED lighting elements and a more modern front design.
The sedan also gets a longer wheelbase, which should help improve rear seat space and overall cabin comfort. Inside, the dashboard layout is expected to be cleaner and more modern with a larger touchscreen infotainment system and Lexus’ latest interface.
Once launched, the new Lexus ES will compete with popular luxury sedans such as the Audi A4, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and BMW 3 Series in India.
