Lexus has launched the new-generation Lexus ES in India, bringing an all-electric version of its popular luxury sedan. Priced at Rs 89.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the latest ES marks a major step for the brand as it expands its electric lineup in the country.
First showcased at the Shanghai Motor Show 2025, the new ES comes with a completely fresh design, updated features and a strong focus on comfort and technology.

The new Lexus ES EV is offered as the ES 500e variant. It is powered by a 74.69kWh battery pack paired with a dual-motor setup that produces 343hp. Lexus claims a driving range of up to 444km on a single charge, making it suitable for both city use and longer drives.
The car also comes with an 11kW AC home charger, allowing convenient charging for daily use.
The design of the new ES follows Lexus’ ‘Provocative Simplicity’ philosophy. It gets a clean yet bold appearance with a redesigned front end. The traditional spindle grille has been replaced by a new look featuring twin L-shaped daytime running lights.
The overall profile is more streamlined with a coupe-like roofline and smooth body lines. At the rear, the connected LED light bar with Lexus lettering and a subtle spoiler-like design add to its modern appeal.
The eighth-generation ES is now larger than before, offering more space inside the cabin. It measures 5,145mm in length and comes with a long wheelbase of 2,950mm, which improves rear seat comfort.
Lexus has also increased the ground clearance to 158mm, making the car more practical for Indian road conditions.
Inside, the Lexus ES focuses on offering a premium and tech-rich experience. The dashboard design is clean, with minimal physical buttons and a strong focus on digital interfaces.
It gets a large 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a 12.3-inch digital driver display. Features like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ambient lighting and a premium audio system enhance the overall experience.
Rear seat comfort is a highlight, with reclining seats and optional ottoman function, making it ideal for chauffeur-driven buyers who prefer maximum comfort.
